Our work is dedicated to providing storage units across London that allow people experiencing homelessness physical respite from carrying their belongings. We also provide those with longer-term storage needs the peace of mind they so often cannot find while living in poverty. Find out more about how we help from people who have used our services.
Founder & Director
Having worked in London's homelessness sector for a number of years, Rachel founded Street Storage in November 2018 after seeing a visible need for the service in the city. She currently manages the strategic vision and growth of the organisation, as well as supporting our staff, volunteers, corporate and charity partners and fundraising efforts. She speaks regularly on behalf of the organisation at events, conferences and on panels across the country,
In her (minimal) spare time she drinks too much coffee, watches too much American TV and looks after her 15 animals (and husband John!).
London Referral Manager
Charlie spent several years working in the music industry but, after watching the growing inequality in London, decided to switch industries. As Street Storage’s first Referral Manager, Charlie manages all referrals to our London unit, from new contacts as well as existing client storage and all the administration behind this, maintaining relationships with partner organisations and ensuring all clients are comfortable trusting us with their possessions.
Outside working at Street Storage Charlie is a freelance writer and intense nerd about all things movies and comics.
Unit Security Guard
Michal is a core member of the Street Storage team. Initially coming on board as a volunteer while sleeping on the street himself, he joined the team as a member of staff in November 2019 and is now housed in North London. A trained security guard, it's his job to keep our staff and clients safe during appointments, as well as secure people's belongings when they come to appointments. He is always willing to lend a hand and help out around the unit and can build metal storage shelving with his bare hands...!
